Procurement Manager – Seafood   

This is about raw material procurement for value added seafood.  This role is raw material sourcing meets new product development, with the business acumen to know where the net profit is.

You should understand costs associated with every step of the supply chain from the farm to the finished value added product. 

You should understand the underlying value of the raw material (mostly shrimp but some scallops and calamari) and understand co-packing, cost plus business relationships. 

You should know Asian and Indonesian markets/sources and be able to develop multiple sources of supply. 

You should be able to work with new product development teams and understand the role the source raw material plays in that equation.

Position Summary

Develops and executes strategic sourcing and purchasing plans for seafood raw materials to maximize value, optimize manufacturing operations and consistently meet customer expectations.  This position understands and leverages the relevant raw material markets and applies data-driven sourcing practices to achieve the best total value.
