Operations/Production Management – Full Service Seafood Distribution

Located in Madison WI, our client is an established, privately held, full service distribution house serving a four state area in the Midwest, running a 24 hour operation, six and a half days a week.  They provide responsibly sourced premium meat, poultry, seafood and dairy products to top tier restaurants, country clubs, and hotels across the Midwest.  They operate their own fleet of 20 trucks and they process under USDA and FDA Inspection.   They recently opened a new 15,000 square foot seafood production facility. The seafood production team excels in sourcing, handling, and processing the finest seafood available.   Nearly every product is processed from whole finfish, not pre-cut fillets. No orders or fish are cut ahead and they source from the highest quality domestic fisheries whenever possible.  They provide a Customer-centric approach to every order and every decision and maintain a transparent, established supplier network. They promote sustainable species and fisheries through a fact based approach.

They seek candidates with seafood distribution or processing experience who can provide LEADERSHIP and mentor others through experience, knowledge and example.  This means being hands on, knowing how to cut fish, and being able to teach it to others. This is not an office job.  It means the ability to work as a team with the warehouse, with the transportation department, with purchasing and with the executive team.    It means having the ability to understand where money is made and lost in a seafood distribution operation and being able to teach others.   This is an impact role.   This is not a large operation, but if you are the right person, and you partner with the team to drive growth and profit, and this client is willing to reward you for your efforts.

If you are that seasoned Seafood Distribution Operations Director with an established track record of leading a team to increased volume and profits, our client is interested in talking with you.   If you are an Operations Manager or Shift Manager who is ready to run your own show for the first time, our client would like to talk with you.  If you are just starting out in your seafood career, know how to cut fish, have a college degree, and some exposure to operations, logistics, and production and have a boatload of ambition and initiative and seek a supportive environment where effort moves your career forward, our client wants to talk with you.

No matter what level you enter our client’s business at, they are excited to offer you a COMPETITIVE salary, great benefits that include health, dental, life and matching 401k, and additional performance based incentives.  The location is one of the best in the Midwest!  Research Madison Wisconsin!!!!
