The Company

We are a San Diego-based seafood distributor looking for the right individual to develop our food service business. We specialize in providing sustainable seafood sourced locally in both California proper and Baja California. We work hard and constantly endeavor to take care of both our customers and our employees. We’re looking for the right fit for our organization as we continue to grow.

Responsibilities and Duties

Work alongside our fishmonger and marketing department to grow our food service business

Maintain our current customer base with a high degree of focus on customer relations and quality assurance

Develop quarterly goals for consistent growth of end-user program sales: including but not limited to restaurant deliveries, walk-in customers and e-commerce sales

Create monthly forecasts of sales volume by department

Work alongside our wholesale department to ensure proper inventory allocations and rotation

Report directly to the owner and founder of the company

Qualifications

Knowledge of both the seafood industry and the restaurant industry are a must

Knowledge and recognizance of the importance of sustainable fishing and seafood are highly valued

Ability to use the following software with a high degree of aptitude: CRM systems, weight-based inventory management programs and the entire Microsoft Office suite

Strong interpersonal and analytical skills with a high degree of organization

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a sales management role

Upbeat, positive personality with a high degree of interpersonal skills

Comprehension of the Spanish language is preferred

Flexibility, agility and a proclivity for problem solving are all character traits that will serve this candidate well

This is a predominantly on-site job that may require up to 25% of time spent traveling to accounts around San Diego County
