702 Regional Sales Manager - Foodservice Mid West

TITLE:                          Regional Sales Manager - Foodservice

Reports to:                    National Sales Manager

Supervises:                   Regional Sales Representatives (3)

Function:                      Provide leadership and coordination of companies regional account sales function for the top tier foodservice and retail customers in the zone. Develop, implement, and execute sales strategy to reach established company goals. Monitor and analyze sales activity against goals. Forecast and communicate demand plan. Manage office and expenses. Provide customer and brand marketing recommendations for the channel, achieve KPI’s for the region in all sales areas.



  • Direct and coordinate company regional key account sales functions (Sysco, Harvest Meat, Pafco, etc.)
  • Research and develop strategies and plans that identify all sales opportunities.
  • Lead the execution of weekly and monthly sales goals and activities
  • Manage all budgets and expenses for sales activities.
  • Identify the key customers and implement the appropriate sales strategy.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures for territory sales managers
  • Implement tracking tools that will enable the ability to analyze and evaluate effectiveness of plans (Salesforce CRM)
  • Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results (ROI).


  • Lead and motivate regional customer to execute and manage against the go-to-market strategy.  This would include regional accounts that cross multiple trade classes.
  • Directly manage regional customers and coordinate the management of all other accounts.
  • Drive business development to successfully achieve sales and organizational goals.
  • Manage regional sales managers to include sales goals, market execution, and programming.
  • Lead customer meetings, cross-functional account meetings, and top to top meeting.
  • Manage regional account collections and credit lines.


  • Represent the company at various seafood industry and/or business meetings to promote the company.
  • Promote positive relations with partners, vendors, and distributors.
  • Identify and recruit exceptional team members to effectively executive the plans.
  • Lead, train, and support team members. Promote an equitable environment and culture that recognizes achievement and focuses on overall company success.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of experience managing sales and marketing functions in the consumer packaged goods industry, seafood industry knowledge, and contacts, preferred
  • Experience specific to managing regional foodservice distributors and broadliners
  • Ability to lead, train, and motivate people.
  • Ability to manage budgets and assets.  Direct P&L experience is mandatory.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree; MBA is a plus
