We area family owned and operated seafood processor/distributor in Spokane, WA, since 2003.  We make deliveries in the Greater Spokane area, Coeur d’Alene, Sandpoint, & Tri Cities.  We are a financially solid company with a good team in place.  We provide our customers with outstanding customer service as well as the best quality proteins available.

The General Manager (GM) is responsible for:

-Developing the team to create a strong culture of growth and learning

 -Work directly with the sales team on a daily basis, and some sales will be required

 -Directly interface with our customers in an effort to build and maintain a positive working relationship on behalf of the corporation as well as developing new business opportunities

-Total facility responsibility in an operations/distribution/logistics environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing employees; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees

 -This is a leadership position that requires a combination of focus and flexibility, as well as a willingness to play an active role in the management of our entire business. The role requires a highly resourceful individual with strong emotional intelligence, self-motivation and an understanding of how to drive effectiveness and efficiency within the corporation.


  • Strong background in seafood, distribution and processing
  • Demonstrated success in process improvement
  • A proven track record of building and developing existing and new customers and aligning internal resources with external customer expectations
  • Must possess outstanding communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Must possess strong leadership and employee relations skills with a focus on engagement
  • High standard of integrity and reliability; able to build trust & loyalty with others
  • Excellent computer skills including experience WMS systems; also strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, Excel)

  • Hires, assesses, develops and leads warehouse and front office teammates providing opportunities for continuous growth and development through appropriate training and certifications.
  • Performs additional duties as directed
  • Manage and establish operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments.  You will be working directly with the Warehouse Manager on a daily basis
  • Conduct daily walkthrough of the facility. Address unacceptable conditions from both a safety and housekeeping perspective
  • Manage and motivate a staff of managers, employees and temporary workers
  • Communicate and interact with customers and various internal departments in order to resolve issues, capitalize on opportunities and improve business and service performance
  • Generate, cultivate and communicate ideas for continual improvement of processes and activities across all areas of the operation
  • Identifies gaps in existing systems and processes, proposing solutions that improve operational efficiency

We need from you……

  • Bachelor’s or MBA degree in Business, Fisheries or related field
  • At least 5 years in  a GM role in seafood or other protein distribution company OR any combination of education & experience to meet the above requirements
  • Proven track record of success in the seafood industry
  • Demonstrated capability in managing teams, in verbal and written communications skills and in creating effective relationships to influence and collaborate
  • Proven ability to build effective teams and lead through positive influence and collaboration
  • Ability to develop reliable, cost effective systems and procedures
  • Constant effort for process improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and independently
  • Very strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
