720 Foodservice Business Manager, Shrimp-National

Foodservice Business Manager – Must have experience selling shrimp!

The Foodservice Business Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the sales activities across their assigned category.  This role provides leadership and technical support to customers with the purpose of promoting products, the development and execution of sales plans, expanding business and delivering an outstanding customer experience.  To promote and sell products and services through good customer service and effective sales techniques in the Foodservice category

Essential Duties and responsibilities

  • Maintain, build and create relationships with key customer and potential customer buyers.  Work to support sales through utilizing the High Liner Foods sales and marketing teams.
  • Set and achieve sales goals
  • Become aware of market trends both on the supply side and customer side and promote products that provide value to both sides.
  • Act as an internal advocate for each customer/potential customer by taking a project management role on product development and presentations.  Also to ensure that all customer needs are met.
  • Financial Accountability:
    • Achieve sales volume and contribution and goals
    • Manage trade spend effectively and efficiently
    • Improve sales forecast accuracy
    • Manage SG&A
    • Manage T&E Budget

Qualifications

  • College Degree
  • 10+ years of experience in the field of account management/sales
  • Seafood, foodservice/distributor sales experience is advantageous
  • Excellent verbal, written and reading skills required
  • Computer literacy; Excel, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint
  • Comfortable making presentations in front of customers
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds
  • Expected travel for this role is 15 to 20%, mostly domestic U.S. or Canada
  • Ability to obtain passport to travel internationally if necessary
