Selling to Retail and Foodservice Seafood Buyers Regionally & Nationally
Flexible onsite/remote position in Weston, Florida
10-15% travel required (domestic/international)*
*Visit to customers, trade shows, producer farms/plants.
We are looking for an experienced National Sales/ Product Development/New Business Development representative with a strong work ethic to join our team. We are a seafood import company based out of the Miami/Broward area with 20+ years of industry experience. As a company, we pride ourselves on integrity. We are looking for an individual who possesses intellectual honesty and upholds personal moral and ethical principles. Our expertise lies in maintaining close relationships and partnerships with aquaculture fish producers all around the world and providing exceptional service, products, and value to our customers. This new role will focus on growing customer reach and expanding current and new fresh and/or frozen seafood product lines to new food service and retail accounts.
Experience/Requirements:
· 3-5 years of sales experience to Foodservice, Retail, Restaurants, Supermarket buyers etc.,
· Bachelors’ Degree, preferred
· Organized, Results-oriented
· Strong attention to detail and honest work ethic
· Strong at prospecting, networking
· Self-sufficient with clear ability to succeed, motivate, communicate, and negotiate
· Ability to be trained in new products/species
Experience in frozen seafood sales is a plus
· Skilled in collaborative decision-making
· Efficient with Excel and PowerPoint
Position Summary
· The focus will be to develop new business in fresh and/or frozen seafood targeting mid-size retail and large foodservice accounts
· Target markets: US & Canada
· Will be selling various aquaculture fish: Atlantic Salmon, Mediterranean Sea Bass (Branzino), Steelhead Trout, Mediterranean Sea Bream (Dorade), and more.
· Grow existing product sales and help develop new species and specifications
