Deep Sea Atlantic North America is a multinational leader in the wholesale and importation of fresh and frozen seafood. As a vertically integrated company, we maintain direct access to partner plants and extensive seafood inventories, serving the North American market. We are now focused on selling both wholesale seafood commodities and introducing a new line of retail products to large retailers and grocery chains.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated Sales Associate to join our on-site team in Boca Raton. The role will focus on two main objectives:
Expanding our wholesale seafood commodities business.
Introducing and selling our new retail seafood product line to large retail buyers.
The Sales Associate will manage client relationships, track inventory, coordinate deliveries, and assist with collections, all while maintaining product knowledge and achieving sales targets.
Roles & Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Relations
Proactively sell wholesale and retail seafood products, achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Educate customers on product offerings and help them select the best options for their needs.
New Account Acquisition & Lead Generation
Independently identify, pursue, and secure new customers without relying on pre-provided lead lists.
Generate leads through cold calling, client visits, trade shows, and events.
Develop strategies to grow the customer base in both the wholesale and retail sectors.
Inventory & Delivery Management
Track sales-related inventory, ensuring product availability and accuracy.
Coordinate customer pickups, deliveries, and order fulfillment with the logistics team.
Customer Management & Collections
Serve as the main point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service.
Assist in the collections process by ensuring timely payments and resolving overdue accounts.
Product Knowledge & Software Proficiency
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of company products and services, with a focus on premium Caribbean and Atlantic seafood such as snappers, groupers, kingfish, and corvina.
Utilize Netyield and Microsoft Office to manage inventory, sales data, and customer accounts.
Qualifications
Proven ability to generate sales leads and grow both wholesale and retail business.
Experience in selling to wholesale buyers and large retail chains is preferred.
Excellent communication and phone skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in seafood, retail, or wholesale (though candidates without seafood experience are welcome to apply).
Language Skills: English required; Spanish is a plus.
License: Valid Driver's License preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $75,000 and up per year, with performance-based bonuses (up to $200,000 possible).
